Czech Upsilon Pi Epsilon is an honor society established in 2013, whose members are among the most outstanding undergraduate and graduate Computer Science & Engineering students at Czech Technical University (CTU). Our organization holds events for members and students with the aim to help them to build a professional career. Members of UPE are encouraged to their build technical skills and take the leadership in the discipline.

Company events provide opportunities for students to help get an internships or research opportunities. Scholarships are offered through the UPE organization to members in order to encourage our continuing excellence. The overall mission of Upsilon Pi Epsilon is to recognize academic excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in the Computing and Information Disciplines. Organization has recieved endorsements from the two largest computer organizations in the world, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the IEEE Computer Society (IEEE-CS). UPE is also a member of the Association of College Honor Societies.

History

UPE was first organized at Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, in 1967. The international organization now consists of chapters in various colleges and universities in North America and overseas. The Czech Upsilon Pi Epsilon was established in January, 2013 with acceptance of multiple outstanding students from CTU in Prague. Our induction ceremony was supported by Avast Foundation and published in local business news.
